OLIVER AMBERG

The band that became „Coroner“. We were young, inexperienced and fearless. Our musical role models were: Judas Priest, Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden and Queensryche. Fun fact: Our singer Pete sang the first gigs singing gibberish.

We decided to change our name to Coroner. Marky created the logo. The rest is history.

The band started with Andy Bianchi (v) Bodo Suss (g), Dominik Steiner (b), Rolf Suss (dr) and yours truly on guitar.

Tom G. Warrior came up with a new name. „Baby Steel“ was born. Andy Bianchi left the band and Fotios Koros replaced him on  vocals.

With Janine Amberg on vocals, Steve Priestley on drums and Christian Gora on Guitar. I was playing guitar as well and was responsible for Mayhem.

I am grateful to Tom for giving me the chance. I fucked it up to the best of my knowledge and belief. You can hear my contribution on „Cold Lake“. 

Ron Ashley on vocals, Dominik Steiner on bass, Val Masoch and drums and myself on guitar we formed „Lick’n A Promise“. We had the same Management as Celtic Frost. It didn’t helped at all. After recording on demo, we split up. 

After a very long break, I decided to write and play music again. Together with singer Dave Fabian I recorded several EP and albums.

After release the EP „The Remote Sessions“ with NY singer Rachel Gavaletz, I recorded the very strong album „Songs Like Horses“ with Nashville based singer Katie Burke. Max Saidi on drums and Robert McLean on Hammond, Piano and Wurly.

After there was no future for “The Haunted Echoes”, I launched “Dead People’s Clothes”. I released a couple of singles with my own voice. Stefano Saint Paoluci joined me and we released the EP „Washing Instructions“. Powerhouse Jamie Parks on drums.

My friend Meri Tadic encouraged me to sing. So I did. Meri also sang and played violin on many of my songs. Jamie Parks is a fantastic drummer and we recorded so many songs together without ever meeting in person. I release songs out of nowhere. Guerrilla style.
